Two indoor courts you book on your phone, split with your team, and open with a PIN. No school permission, no state-team bookings, no front desk.
From RM2.50 per player · one price, no booking fee
The volleyball courts around BM mostly belong to schools, sit outdoors in the heat and rain, or are booked out for state and school teams.
The plan: a purpose-built building in BM with two full-size indoor courts and a shared lobby, open to anyone who books.
Each court is its own room with solid walls, so no balls fly in from the next game and nobody walks through yours. Everything else is in the shared lobby in the middle.
Your code opens the front door and only your court, and only during your slot.
Over 7 metres of clear space above the court, so high sets and serves never hit the roof.
Cushioned sports flooring, the kind used for indoor volleyball, not bare concrete.
Insulated roof, a big slow ceiling fan over each court and exhaust fans to pull hot air out.
LED lights along the sides, not over the middle, so you're never looking into one when you dig.
Padded walls, a defibrillator, a first-aid kit, an emergency button, CCTV and a fire alarm.
Sound-absorbing panels on the walls, so the court next door stays next door.
Panels on the roof cover part of the power bill, which helps keep court prices down.
Everything runs from your phone. The building handles the rest.
Pick a day and a time on the website. No app to download. Pay the whole thing, or split it with your team.
Each player who has paid gets their own 6-digit door code on WhatsApp. It only works during your slot, so nobody waits outside for the one person with the code.
At your start time the court lights and your lockers switch on. The net is already up. Bring your own ball, or rent one from the lobby.
You get a heads-up before time's up. When your slot ends, the next group gets the court and you have 10 minutes to leave the building, free.
Book the court, send one link to your group chat, and everyone pays their own share. Short on players? Open the empty spots and others can join.
Tap through it like you're booking for your team this week.
Your booking, your PIN, a reminder before you play and a heads-up before time's up, all as WhatsApp messages. If a slot you wanted frees up, you hear about it there too.
You book the whole court, then split it with your group. Prices below are per player with 12 people.
The price you see is the price you pay. No booking fee at checkout. Monthly members would keep the same slot every week for less. These numbers are a starting point, and the survey asks what you'd actually pay.
Grab an open spot in someone's booking, or join an open play session in quieter hours. Pay RM5–8 and get mixed into a game.
Court time ends at your end time. Leave within 10 minutes and it's free. Stay longer and it's RM2 a minute, counted from your end time. You'll see this before you pay.
Drinks from the lobby machine stay in the lobby. Sticky floors are slippery floors.
Walked into a mess? Snap a photo in your first 5 minutes so it isn't on you. A spill kit sits by every court door.
Sign up with your phone number. Bigger or regular bookings need a one-time IC check.
Not yet. It's a plan, and the survey decides whether it gets built. There's no opening date, and we won't give one until it's real.
No. You book on the website and everything else comes to WhatsApp.
You choose before booking: pay the whole court yourself, or split it. With a split, spots still unpaid 24 hours before can open up to other players, so the court still fills.
Join the waitlist for that slot. If the group cancels, you get a WhatsApp message and first pick.
In Bukit Mertajam. We're still looking for the right site, somewhere easy to get to by car, motorbike or drop-off.
Yes, through a parent or guardian's account. They book and pay, and your team still gets their own PINs.
Your PIN is always in your WhatsApp and on the booking page. If you're late, your slot still ends on time, so the next group isn't kept waiting.
Only people with a PIN for that hour can get in, every court has its own locked door, and the building has CCTV, an emergency button and a fire alarm that alerts us straight away.
Lockers, toilets and changing rooms, yes. Showers come later if enough people want them. The pipes go in from day one.
A volleyball player from Bukit Mertajam who got tired of having nowhere to play. We'll introduce ourselves properly closer to opening.
The walls are padded to 2 metres, and the lobby has a first-aid kit, a defibrillator (AED) and an emergency button. Everyone agrees to the safety rules when they sign up.
No dates yet. We'll only share one when it's real.
About two minutes. Your answers decide whether this gets built. Send it to your team too.
